Upgraded to El Capitan but zone Sounds not working?

Hey all, I upgraded to El Capitan on my MacBook Pro and the update was
successful for the most part. I know there was a Safari update as well, however,
after all that was said and done, I logged into the Zone as I do every morning
and notices the sounds were no longer working. My deductive reasoning is that
the Safari code has changed and the sounds are no longer compatible but at the
same time, i haven't seen anyone on the boards talking about it so I am
reserving judgement. Anyone having sound issues regarding Zone after
updating? Thanks.

I don't know about Apple specificly, but after an update, you need to turn them off, refresh, and turn them on again.

Well, I don't know much about Apple products, not even my IPhone. But, I thought I'd say hi to you, since I don't get to see you up here much, anymore. Remember you have fans up here! LOL
Blessings,
If you don't know, I Ain't Tellin'. LOL

I don't know about macbooks, but a lot of windows users have been complaining for a while that sounds don't work using newer versions of firefox on windows, any more, either.

The sounds worked fine up until I "upgraded to El Capitan... Audio Profiles
aren't even playing. All other sites I go to, the sounds work fine all but here. Ah
well. Thanks peoples.

Does the browser have an accessibility mode?
Or something that runs older websites?

yes, there is a developer menu that you can enable to make it look like your
using i e or firefox, but that wont fix anything. I think it has something to do
with the quicktime plugin. after looking around last night I saw that a lot of
other people were having trouble and apple says that they arn't going to
address it because the quicktime plugin isn't supported under 10.11. I have
tried using google Chrome but I can't read lines with voice over at all. Don't
even try to go and get the quicktime plugin from a time machine backup or
anything because even if you coppy it to your internet plugins folder safari wont
even see it.

Safari has undergone many under-the-hood changes in EL Cap. As I understand it, this is a compatibility issue that reaches beyond Safari, as many Firefox users can tell you from a few years back. Fixing this would require updating the code of the site itself, and I'm not sure that can be done in this case without significant changes. But I'm not an expert on PHP or any of the languages of the web, this is just a slightly educated guess on my part.

It seems to me is more to do with zone itself than to do with the OS. My Firefox and Crome never play zone's sound. And I have no problem with Safari instead.

hi, it is interesting that your sound don't work, but then on the other hand
cap, have some problems, or bugs, if you will… there is a lot of talk about
different issues over at free node.
Lets pray for a fast update for the os that will address the issue.
